The diocese of Montefiascone is a Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Italy. It was created from the diocese of Bagnorea in 1396, and in 1986 was united into the diocese of Viterbo, Acquapendente, Bagnoregio, Montefiascone, Tuscania e San Martino al Monte Cimino. ==History== Its first bishop was the French Augustinian Pierre d'Anguiscen (1376), a partisan of the antipope Clement VII. In 1435 the see was united with the diocese of Corneto, and so remained until, in 1854, Corneto became a part of the diocese of Civitavecchia.
